Who Can Come
This conference is for high school-aged TEENS that want to learn about leadership and life skills. We are exploring those concepts through the lens of hockey!
Many careers and opportunities to volunteer in hockey are held by people that HAVE NEVER PLAYED but love the sport. Come to the conference to meet students from all over that are involved in many different sports.
OUR SUPPORTERS
We are donating $5000 that we raised to our local Children's Health Foundation!
We are serving those in need first. Any extra money will go towards our Leadership Training Trip.
ABOUT US
The Hockey Leadership Conference is a student-led conference to celebrate and learn about life skills through the lens of hockey.
We are AthLeaders that serve our community partnering with or running community events to "make a difference" in sport or through philanthropy.
We must take pride in the growth and accomplishments both on the ice and in the industry. As society is constantly changing, we must grow and adapt to the 21st century. We must take initiative and examine concerns from stakeholders and do our part to improve the sport experiences for all.
Thus, we must bring attention to issues and provide resources that will help to make hockey (and other sports) more inclusive and informative. Through presenting relevant information and evidence-based research to the next generation of young adults, we hope to communicate a positive message and provide actionable next steps that will impact the future of hockey (and sport) in Canada in a meaningful way.
